Death Valley National Park

Death Valley was my first and last national park visits of the year (see: Lassen Volcanic and Yosemite), I went in March and for Halloween!

Death Valley is like giant playground, it’s incredibly huge—I learned this quickly upon my first visit as I realized my campsite was 45 minutes away from the center of the park, and other “nearby” attractions were up to three hours away. During my second visit (much more centrally located) I got to experience not one but two rainstorms! This is a rarity as Death Valley only gets on average two inches of rain per year.
